SPARTAN SPOTLIGHTED FOR WORK AS WEATHERMAN bOARDMAN SENIOR ANTHONY STEINER DOING WEATHER FORECAST ON BSTN WFMJ PROFILE

As a student with autism, Boardman senior Anthony Steiner didn't start out enjoying the spotlight.  Today, he finds joy in performing, both on stage, and as a weatherman on BSTN-TV.

BHS ART TEACHER SHINES IN ONE-WOMAN ART SHOW boardman high school art teacher Jenna Hudock

BHS Art Teacher Jenna Hudock will have her own artwork on display at a one-woman show, beginning in January.  She recently spent two weeks at the GOLDEN Educators Residency in upstate New York-- one of only 3 teachers nationwide accepted into that prestigious summer program.  Artwork created there will be featured at her show at the Jewish Community Center in Youngstown.

Congressman Ryan Congratulates Boardman App Winners Congressman Ryan with app winners and Principal Fernback, Evelyn Stanton, Superintendent Saxton, Anne Bott and Kyle Sheehan

Congressman Tim Ryan presented certificates to three young women from Boardman High on January 7.  Juniors Emma Davis and Ranean Sulebi and senior Alara Erzurum won the Congressional App Challenge for the 13th District.  They will be invited to Washington, DC in the spring to showcase their app, alongside hundreds of students who won from congressional districts across the country.

BHS DRAMA GUILD PRESENTS: PETER AND THE STARCATCHER FEB. 6-9 PETER AND THE STARCATCHER THE NEVERLAND YOU NEVER KNEW

The Boardman High School Drama Guild will present Peter and the StarCatcher on February 6-9 at the Boardman Performing Arts Center.  The prequel to Peter Pan is a hilarious romp through a Neverland you never knew.  CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS  

Performances are  Thursday, Feb. 6,  Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 PM

HOORAY MR. DIEFENDERFER: CREATIVE CLASSROOM AWARD WINNER! WKBN creative classroom award winner mr. diefenderfer  with $500 big check

Congratulations Mr. Diefenderfer--the winner of WKBN's Creative Classroom Award!  WKBN's Alex George surprised him at Glenwood JR. High  December 20, during science class.  The $500 prize will help fund materials for his Pollinator Project.
