Superintendent Saxton Testifies Against EdChoice and Shares Negative Impact on Boardman Local Schools

Superintendent Saxton spoke on the final day of public testimony in Columbus, about the negative impact the recent EdChoice change would have on Boardman Schools.  Lynda Beichner, mother of 4 Spartans, including a 2019 graduate, also testified, along with several other Valley superintendents.

WINTER CONCERT OF THE BANDS FEBRUARY 27 boardman wind ensemble on performing arts stage

The Winter Concert of the Boardman Bands is set for Thursday, February 27 at 7 p.m. at the Boardman Performing Arts Center.  The concert features Boardman High School's Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, as well as the Percussion Ensemble, Flute Choir, and Trombone Ensemble.   

Donation is $3 for Adults and senior citizens are admitted free of charge.  Senior Soloist is John Blinsky on the trombone.


Over the coming weeks, Boardman Local Schools will be implementing REMIND 101, as the official tool for communication between administrators, parents, teachers, coaches, advisors, and students.  

With REMIND, educators can send messages instantly from their phone or computers while students and families have the option of receiving messages by text, smartphone app, or email.  Please read on for more details about how to use REMIND and how to delete old accounts. 

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION MARCH 5 kindergarten students using flash picture cards to tell stories

Boardman Kindergarten is all day, everyday!  We welcome Boardman residents to register for next school year.

Kindergarten Registration will be held on Thursday, March 5 at each of Boardman's three elementary school offices.  The times are 9 a.m. - noon and 5:30-8:00 p.m.   Your child must reach the age of 5 on or before August 1, 2020.  For a list of what you will need to bring with you, please read on.


February is Heart Health Month.  The American Heart Association and Armstrong Cable recently came to Boardman High School to tape an hour-long special now running on Armstrong channel 100, called Locally Speaking.

Our students and administrators are featured as they discuss the dangers of vaping, and our community commitment against anything that leads to a nicotine addiction for our students.


BOARDMAN AWARDED PARENT MENTOR GRANT--APPLY HERE! job opportunity graphic, hiring new parent mentor position

 Boardman Local Schools has been awarded Ohio’s Parent Mentor Project grant from The Ohio Department of Education!  

This $25,000 grant allows Boardman Local Schools to hire a part-time parent mentor to provide free support and resources to families of children with disabilities.   If you are interested in applying for the position, please read on.
