Waiver Day Friday, November 5 schedule changes

Attention Spartans,

Friday, November 5 will be a waiver day in the Boardman Local School District.  Teachers will report for a full day of training.  There is no school for students district wide on November 5.

BHS Students Create Non-Profit for Student Lead Tutoring and Support Superintendent Saxton, Vincent Dong and Austin Ward

Spartan Proud of BHS juniors Vincent Dong and Austin Ward.  They presented to Valley school  superintendents on October 13 at the ESC of Eastern Ohio.  They founded "Cognitia" -- a student lead national non-profit --  to supply free tutoring and educational support to students K-12.

Boardman Center Intermediate School says a big "Thank You!" to Boardman's Walmart.  Store manager Lindsey Nicastro made the delivery September 30th, saying they had extra school supplies and wanted to make sure they went to help students in Boardman.

 BCIS Principal Masucci, the building counselors and some students helped to unload the supplies that included binders, art supplies, sharpies, dry erase boards, locker shelves, folders, index cards, etc.

Nine students from BCIS presented Fire Station #71 with a special gift in honor of Patriot Day.  A framed print, entitled "Walk of Courage" will now hang in the training room at Station #71.
