SPARTANS HOST MILITARY NIGHT: TIP OFF VS. CANFIELD FRIDAY

COACH BIRCH WORKING WITH BASKETBALL TEAM ON THE COURT

Boardman Boys Varsity Basketball is on fire...in fact, at 8-0 , this is their best start to a season in nearly 40 years.  We expect an energetic crowd to fill the stands as the Spartans tip off against rivals Canfield, Friday night, January 17.

In addition to all the buzz of the season, Boardman is holding Military Appreciation Night on Friday.  That means all current military members and veterans with ID, will be admitted to the game for free. The Boardman Pep Band will also be performing, and there will be special honors for active military and veterans.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has asked all schools across the state to get involved, and host a Military Appreciation Night this Friday.  “Boardman is so excited to be a part of this effort,” said Athletic Director Marco Marinucci. “Our athletes know the dedication and hard work it takes to excel on the court, and they truly admire the dedication and sacrifice our veterans and military men and women make daily.  We are honored to have them cheer us to 9 and 0.”
