Mask Policy Upgraded to Start School Year Safely

mask policy update

Observing schools opening across the nation/state, watching COVID cases increase locally, and reading recommendations from national, state, and local health organizations, we feel it is our professional duty to protect our unvaccinated students and staff and upgrade to a policy of requiring masks.

Therefore, masks will be required indoors for all staff and students during school starting on August 30th. In addition to keeping students and staff safe, requiring masks greatly reduces the number of quarantines and allows students to stay in school to learn.

This decision is for now and we will revisit this decision towards the end of September.

ALSO: Many buildings have Open House/ Meet & Greets or supply drop off the week of August 23, and into the first two weeks of classes.

PLEASE NOTE:  When an event occurs in our buildings outside of the school day, we strongly recommend that parents and students wear masks.

When the orientation, event, or PTA meeting occurs during the school day, Masks are mandatory for all visitors to enter the building.
