The final day of class for students will be Wednesday, June 3--that's two days earlier than planned. The School Board has agreed to this change to allow for district wide teacher professional development that will be very beneficial for the district. That training will take place for our teachers on Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5.
The district will be moving to a new phonics program and is considering other curriculum changes along with new mandates from the state of Ohio. This professional development is important to prepare for the coming school year.
Building principals are reaching out to PTA leaders to adjust any end of year events that may be affected by the change.
