The first grade classes joined together to work at “50s Learning Centers” practicing math and numbers skills.  They used bubble gum to count by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s--using the manipulatives for different ways to get to 50.   First grade teacher Missy Struharik says students had a great time, but expect double the fun when they celebrate “100” days of school in early  February.
